Resarch Interest 

My background is in data mining, machine learning, information retrieval and statistics and I am interested in anything around these areas. My PhD is on developing effective learning algorithms and systems for (1) analyzing the sentiment of users in financial forum and predicting what they think about the future stock price based on their words (2) Evaluate if users with financial expertise have a specific language in financial forum and extract them from non-expert users. (3) investigating the effectiveness of lexicon based approach in extracting the sentiment of users in financial forum. I also have a solid research experience in similarity measurement and I propose a new similarity measurement that can solve the problem of common similarity measurement in high dimensional data.
