Scheduled Push of Configurations and Software Components
Administrators can schedule the push of new configuration settings or any Netscape or third-party component to the desktop using the scheduling feature of AutoAdmin. This permits administrators to have a high degree of confidence that each desktop in the enterprise has an up-to-date, authorized configuration.

Netscape AutoAdmin
Managing the installation and configuration of client software is generally expensive and time-consuming for IS departments. The Netscape AutoAdmin component, together with Netscape Mission Control Desktop, provides automated tools that help reduce the workload and cost of managing and administering Netscape Communicator clients on an enterprise network. When combined with Netscape Mission Control Desktop, AutoAdmin enables centralized management of client settings, such as default home pages, email settings, and automatic updating of software components.

SECURITY CONTROL
Netscape Navigator Encrypted Communications
Navigator helps protect the privacy of your data communications with security standards that function both within a corporate network and across the global internet. Transmitted data is protected with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 3.0, the widely accepted Internet security standard. Downloaded applications can be checked for authenticity and then granted an appropriate level of trust.

Netscape provides two levels of security encryption. The U.S. version supports 128-bit encryption and the International version supports 40-bit encryption security with RSA Public Key Cryptography. The U.S. government restricts the export of 128-bit encryption, but not the export of 40-bit encryption.
