This directory can also be referred to as M:\web. Possible uses for my personal Web directory =========================================== 1. Publishing Web pages for a class project 2. Sharing documents How do I get to my personal Web directory? ========================================== You can access your personal Web directory using one of three methods. Method 1 (for Windows) -------- 1. Double click My Computer. 2. Double click M:\. 3. Double click the folder named "Web". Method 2 -------- 1. Open your web browser. 2. Go to http://andi.fau.edu 3. Log in using your FAU account and password. 4. Select your role as either a Student or Employee. 5. Select the "Folder View". You will see all folders and files on your M:\ 6. Double click on the folder named "Web". Method 3 -------- 1. Open your web browser. 2. Go to http://andi.fau.edu 3. Log in using your FAU account and password. 4. Select your role as either a Student or Employee. 5. Select the "Web Browser View". You will see a directory listing of all files and folders. 6. Single click on the directory named "Web". How do I publish Web pages to my personal Web directory? ======================================================== Method 1 -------- 1. Create a Web page using a Web editor such as MS FrontPage, MS Word, Dreamweaver, etc. 2. Name the file with a .htm extension. Example: mywebpage.htm 3. Save it to your web folder, M:\web. Method 2 -------- 1. Create a Web page using a Web editor such as MS FrontPage, MS Word, Dreamweaver, etc. 2. Name the file with a .htm extension. Example: mywebpage.htm 3. Open your web browser. 4. Go to http://andi.fau.edu. 5. Log in using your FAU account and password. 6. Select your role as either a Student or Employee. 7. Select the "Folder View". 8. Drag and drop the file to your web folder. NOTE: Remember, your Personal Web directory is set for anonymous read access, so only publish Web pages or documents that you want others to see!
